As the most recent addition to ISA’s military sector partners, the Philippine Air Force (PAF) has been initiated into the governance pathway and is now making its way through the Compliance stage. In line with this, it has officially established the Air Force Strategy Management Office to monitor and evaluate the progress and results of its strategic initiatives.
At the ceremony, held on January 21 at Villamor Air Base, COL ARTHUR M CORDURA was officially inducted as the Chief of the Strategy Management Office. Col. Cordura said, “The results have convincingly made us aware that this is the way to go. It is still a work in progress, but a testament to our leadership’s commitment to PAF improvements and modernization.” He recognizes the need to lead the search, exchange stories and best practices, and engage the right people to contribute to making the Flight Plan an effective mechanism for transformation.
LTGEN JEFFREY F DELGADO, Commanding General of the Air Force, also encouraged the officers present and the new strategy management office by saying “We are determined to move forward. The whole Air Force family is one with Col. Cordura as we open a new chapter for PAF and blaze trails in Philippine history.”

The Air Force has continued to make steady progress in the implementation of their Flight Plan 2028 and is making preparations to undergo a revalida at the next Public Governance Forum in May 2015.
