This pilot volume of an ambitious series looks at the Philippines through the minds of its Spanish conquerors and Filipino revolutionary leaders to discover the roots of the country’s economy and governance.

Filipino economist and governance thought leader Jesus P. Estanislao has returned from his scholarly travels to Barcelona, Spain to bring home an academic work that, as always, aims to benefit the country on its way to becoming the “Dream Philippines”.

Governance in the Philippines: Spanish Colonial Rule, 1565-1989, written at IESE Business School, is the pilot volume in an ambitious series that looks at the Philippines through the minds of its conquerors to discover the roots of Philippine economy and governance.

It aims to encourage a new generation of scholars to look at strategy in historical context, and to apply pivotal learnings from the country’s long years under colonial rule to national governance in the modern day.

4. Wait for our confirmation. A member of our team will coordinate with you re: shipping fees and estimated day of delivery. All fees are calculated after payment is made and are shouldered by the customer.
